<p>An underwater cable about 4,500 km long will connect the five (5) countries of the UMA by proposing two (2) landing points per country in order to also offer them the security of part of their national network.</p><p>The project serves an existing infrastructure asset of another sector, but there is less than 50% overlap in the geography serviced by the proposed project and the other sector existing asset.</p><p>The project must be carried out in two phases: The first, which lasts between 09 and 12 months, consists of: - Define the precise route and landing points in each country. Conduct an environmental impact study. Create the network operating company (in the form of a private company or public and private joint venture) - Write the project specifications. Launch the tender, analyze the offers and enter the contract with the selected supplier. The second phase, which lasts 12 months, concerns the physical realization of the network and its commercial commissioning.</p><p><br></p>
