The Lamu port project comes under the Lamu Port and Southern Sudan-Ethiopia Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor's infrastructure projects which include railway lines. The project is located in Manda Bay and to the North end of the Kenyan coast, bordering with Somalia. Description

<p>The project scope will cover construction of the first nineĀ deep sea berths at the Lamu PortĀ in Manda Bay to contain Crude Oil and Coal Terminals, General Cargo and Bulk Cargo Terminals.Ā </p>

<p>This may involve some of all of the following activities, i.e.Ā dredging and reclamation; construction of berths and yards; construction of revetment, causeway and road; construction of buildings and utilities; procurement of equipment and tug boats; etc.</p>
