In order to reduce the non tariff barriers (NTBs) along the Central Corridor by harmonizing services on border posts between the Republic of Burundi and the United Republic of Tanzania, it has been planned by both countries to construct a One-Stop Border Post (OSBP) at the common border Kobero/Kabanga. Because of the configuration of the terrain between the 2 countries, a juxtaposed OSBP has been chosen.
Description

The One - Stop - Border - Post (OSBP) is juxtaposed. Offices in Burundi and Tanzania are located in each country at a certain distance from the borderline. In offices, the different Officers (from both countries) are seated side by side and all sevices are done simultaneously. The construction of all offices in Burundi and Tanzania has been funded by Trade Mark Africa.
