<p>The project is designed to meet the need for additional liquid bulk capacity through design of a BOT project for a single buoy point or off shore jetty system.</p>

<p>The proposed off-dock ICDs/CFSs Integration Program comprise: (1) Relocating all container processing activities from marine yard to CFSs. (2) Simplifying of transfers between marine yard and CFS, and (3) CFSs enhancing facilities and technical competency to handle increased transfers from marine yard and to service clients.</p>

<p>This project entails the upgrading of the Mombasa -Voi road to a dual carriageway. An alternative short term solution is to rehabilitate the road and provide climbing lanes along sections where heavy vehicles reach crawl speed as a result of steep gradients.</p>

<p>The governments of Kenya and Uganda and Rwanda have committed to the development of a standard gauge railway that links the landlocked countries of Rwanda and Uganda with Mombasa port in Kenya. This project entails the section from Mombasa port to Nairobi in Kenya.</p>

<p>The project scope will cover construction of the first nine deep sea berths at the Lamu Port in Manda Bay to contain Crude Oil and Coal Terminals, General Cargo and Bulk Cargo Terminals. </p>

<p>This may involve some of all of the following activities, i.e. dredging and reclamation; construction of berths and yards; construction of revetment, causeway and road; construction of buildings and utilities; procurement of equipment and tug boats; etc.</p>
