<p>The development of a continentalaviation infrastructure master planincluding two components on Aviationinfrastructure and a seamless AfricanAirspace Architecture that will takeinto consideration all ongoing RECsinitiatives in airportsinfrastructure and seamless airspacemanagement is one of the key enablingpillar (Pillar 4 on Aviationinfrastructure) in theoperationalization of the SingleAfrican Air Transport Market (SAATM)that was launched in January 2018 bythe 30th Summit of AU Heads of State.</p>

<p>The development of a continental aviation infrastructure master plan including two components on Aviation infrastructure and a seamless African Airspace Architecture that will take into consideration all ongoing RECs initiatives in airports infrastructure and seamless airspace management is one of the key enabling pillar (Pillar 4 on Aviation infrastructure) in the operationalization of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) that was launched in January 2018 by the 30th Summit of AU Heads of State. </p>

<p>The AXIS Project aims to facilitate the development of an African internet infrastructure through policy and regulatory reform, capacity building and technical assistance. Development of an African internet infrastructure refers to the establishment of regional internet exchange points (IXPs) and internet carriers.</p>

<p>The AXIS Project is being implemented through two phases. Phase I consists of capacity building to support the establishment of national IXPs through providing a series of two workshops for stakeholders and the Internet Service Provider Association (ISPA) on  I) best practice and benefits of IXP and II) technical assistance through workshops which will cover the technical and administrative skills needed to set up, operate, and administer an IXP.</p>

<p>Phase II focuses on supporting establishment of Regional IXP and Regional Internet Carrier through provisioning Capacity building workshops on best practice and benefits of setting up RIXP/IC and providing technical assistance.</p>

<p>The AXIS Project is a flagship project of the African Regional Action Plan on Knowledge Economy (ARAPKE) endorsed by the African Union Executive Council.</p>

<p>The proposed Dawa dam will be located approximately 20 km upstream of Rhamu Dimtu town in Mandera County and 2km upstream of Boni centre in Ethiopia. The estimated dam height is about 90m with a capacity of approximately 4.5 Billion m3 and can be utilised to generate 8.2MW of hydropower.</p>

<p>The project involves the modernisation of the Dar es Salaam Port, including upgrade to berths 1 to 7, deepening of the harbour, improveing cargo handling and port layout.</p>

<p>The project involves the construction of a grade separated flyover for Morogoro Road / Nelson Mandela intersection.</p>

<p>Development of new container terminal (berths 13 and 14) with dredging of the access channel at Dar es Salaam Port.</p>

<p>This project includes development of 3 new berths on the eastern side of Dar es Salaam port, linked by a bridge south of the existing dockyard and fronting the new Kigamboni city extension. The new berths will allow avoidance of access chanel limitations making it possible to handle 6th generation vessels.</p>
